  • Compression dictionary from 1 MiB to 1 GiB (limited to 256 MiB on 32-bit Windows, however 32-bit Windows still can decompress archives with 1 GiB dictionary). Default size is 32 MiB.
  • Optional 256-bit BLAKE2 file hash can replace default 32-bit CRC32 file checksum.
  • Optional encryption using AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) with a 256-bit key.
  • Optional data redundancy is provided in the form of Reed-Solomon recovery records and recovery volumes, allowing reconstruction of damaged archives (including reconstruction of entirely missed volumes).
  • Optional "Quick Open Record" to open RAR files faster.
  • Ability to create multi-volume (split) archives
  • Ability to create self-extracting files. The self-extractor can execute commands, such as running a specified program automatically after self-extraction.
  • Support for advanced NTFS file system options, such as NTFS hard and symbolic links.
  • Support for maximum path length up to 2048 characters (stored in the UTF-8 format).

WINRAR ACTIVATION GUIDE - AFTER THE PURCHASE

 

Registration Key - Delivery / Where to download Registration Key:

1. Once the product is purchased, an e-mail will be sent to you. This email will contain an attached RAR-archive file. This RAR-archive file will have the license key and a readme file. 

2. Alternatively, you can also download your license key and read me file from the order details page of your order number in the officialreseller.com website.

    OfficialReseller.com -> My Account -> My Orders -> Click on your order number (details icon or link) -> Click 'Download License'

    Note: The Download License option will be available to only when the payment is completed. 

You need to register this license key on as many machines as the number of licenses that you have purchased.

Example: If you have purchased 1 PC license, then this license can only be activated on 1 computer.

Please notice that you must have WinRAR installed on your computer before you register your key.

Register WinRAR - Traditional Method:

1. If not done, please download most current WinRAR version in your language at http://www.win-rar.com/download.html
2. If not done, please install WinRAR on your computer with simple double click on the install archive.
3. Please save the attached archive rarkey.rar from your e-mail to your desktop. 

Alternatively you can use the key downloaded from the order details page of officialreseller.com

4. Please register WinRAR on your computer with a simple double click on the archive rarkey.rar.
    You will see a message: "Thank you for your support!"
5. To check if the registration was completed, please start WinRAR. (Start --> All programs -->WinRAR).

    Your registration data will be displayed in WinRAR menu "Help" -->"About WinRAR" dialog.

6. Please make a backup of the file rarkey.rar.

Your WinRAR registration is finished.

Register WinRAR - Alternate Method

Another way to register your license key:
1.  Save the attached archive rarkey.rar (it contains your license key) from your e-mail to your desktop.  

Alternatively you can use the key downloaded from the order details page of officialreseller.com

2.  Extract your key from the archive (right mouse click on the archive, choose "Extract here")
3.  Copy the license key into %APPDATA%\WinRAR folder, or run WinRAR and drag and drop the extracted rarreg.key file into the WinRAR window.

Recovering your lost key:

You can recover your registration key in three ways.

1. You can download the copy of the registration keyfile from the email you have received. We recommend making a backup copy of your keyfile and save your email as soon as you receive it. 

    Use this saved copy of your registration key to activate your product again.

2. You can always download your registration keyfile from your order details page of OfficialReseller.com.

    OfficialReseller.com -> My Account -> My Orders -> Click on your order number (details icon or link) -> Click 'Download License'

    It's always there for you. We will not charge any additional fee. Use this freshly downloaded copy to activate your product again.

3. Alternatively, you can reach the product support team support@rarlab.com and they can recover lost keys, there may be a small charge and delay involved in recovering any lost keyfiles.
